1. Laying the Groundwork and Ensuring Structural Integrity: This project in Dakar, Senegal, involved meticulous attention to detail from the initial stages of construction. Our concrete team began by pouring cleanliness strips around the building’s perimeter, establishing a clean and level base for subsequent works. Simultaneously, significant focus was placed on the proper construction of the septic tank, including thorough treatment of the walls to ensure its structural integrity and long-term functionality for wastewater management.
2. Interior Finishing and Protection: The project progressed to the interior spaces, where our team expertly handled the installation of kitchen cabinets within the living area, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. Parallel to interior works, a critical phase involved comprehensive waterproofing of designated surfaces. This included the careful storage and application of appropriate waterproofing products, application of primer, the strategic laying of polystyrene layers for insulation, and the installation of high-performance waterproofing membranes such as ADEPAR JS and PARADIENNE 30.1 GS, ensuring robust protection against water ingress.
3. Achieving Quality and Durability: The final stages of the waterproofing process involved joint inspection and sealing of the ADEPAR JS membrane, followed by the precise heating and installation of PARADIENNE 30.1 GS. Special attention was paid to critical connection points, such as the interface between PARADIAL S (used for upstands) and PARADIENNE 30.1 GS, utilizing PAREQUER for a seamless and durable seal. Furthermore, the preparation of walls for plastering included the installation of chicken wire mesh, providing a strong key for the plaster and ensuring the longevity of the wall finishes. This approach guaranteed a high-quality and durable building.
